Fashion has rules set in stone, like you shouldn’t wear socks with sandals. Nonetheless, rules are arbitrary. You don’t have to follow everything the so-called fashion police tell you. Some of these rules have become passé already; they deserve to be broken.
Here are three fashion rules that no longer apply to today’s stylish world.
Bag, belt, and shoes must match
You’ve probably heard this “rule” a hundred times, quoted from a fashion expert somewhere. The coordinated set used to work – emphasis on used to – back in the ’60s. Now, while matching these three things can certainly rock a classic look, you are also on the verge of being boring.
When you mix up accessories, you look more polished and modern, contrary to the dated and rigid look of matched everything. Just make sure that the accessories don’t copy your outfit; instead, make it complement your look.
Never mix metals in jewellery
The so-called “rule” against mixing gold and silver together is so old, it’s bordering on the archaic. It’s okay to wear both your silver nomination bracelet along with your gold bangles, provided that they appear in odd numbers. Not having the balance of two golds and two silvers renders a more modern flair to your look. All metals feature neutral colours, so it’s perfectly fine to have a healthy mix of these in your wardrobe.
Black and brown (or navy) don’t mix
The colour theory says that you should choose a neutral hue and pair it with a bright-coloured accent. Two basic colours clash, but this is no longer a strict rule you should follow.
This is the principle behind the strong opinion against black and brown or black and navy. You can dress with these combinations intentionally, and as long as you show that intent to pair the two colours, there’s no problem with it. The secret is that you should anchor everything together; for example, throw a brown scarf on top of your black cardigan and brown undershirt.
There’s no such thing as a hard and fast law in fashion. In today’s world, you can twist and alter almost any rule there is when it comes to what you wear. Elegance is in the way you pull off that outfit. As long as you do the combinations justice, you are stylish.
According to the American Lung Association, Asthma is a common chronic disease among children. In 2011, there were over 7 million kids younger than 18 years old with the condition. More than 4 million of them suffered an asthma episode that year.
For children, living with the condition means seeing allergy doctors regularly. When parents manage the condition in the early stages of childhood, families won’t have to worry about life-threatening episodes.
Understanding the Condition
Understanding the condition is the first step to managing it. As there are different types of this asthma, knowing which one your child has can help you find proper treatments. About 75% to 85% of patients suffer from allergy-triggered asthma, while others have exercised-induced conditions. Furthermore, asthma symptoms have different categories. Each category has unique characteristics and often requires specific treatments.
A child with severe, persistent symptoms experience flare-ups more frequently than one with moderate or mild persistent symptoms. Severe symptoms may require hospitalization and emergency treatments.
Finding the Right Treatment
There are many treatments for asthma. Depending on your child’s condition, an asthma doctor or allergy specialist may recommend bronchodilators, anti-inflammatories and antibacterial or anti-viral medications. Your child’s doctor mayalso suggest using a Nebulizer or an inhaler to deliver medications effectively to the lungs. The whole family should know how to use these devices properly, otherwise, your child might not receive the right amount of medication during an attack.
Experts advise creating an asthma action plan with your family doctor, so you know what to do when an attack occurs at home. Most action plans include a list of symptoms to watch out for, medications your child should take during a flare-up, emergency hotlines, and instructions on when to call the emergency department or your physician.
An undiagnosed asthma can be dangerous. When you suspect that your child has this condition, consult a specialist immediately. Help your child live a quality life by controlling the problem as early as possible.
Trucking businesses can be profitable, but only if you have the knowledge and patience to keep one going. With the right strategy, you can work your way to being one of the biggest names in the industry. Starting out may seem simple, but do not lose track of certain aspects of the game so you don’t lose your investment.
Lack of foresight
Trends are there for you to watch. You have to know where the market – and more importantly, your business – is heading. When you have no idea as to which direction you’re taking, the time will come when you might commit a grave mistake and lose some hard-earned profits.
This is where a good business plan matters, as you must have a stable foundation to keep your trucking company sailing smoothly in the middle of a competitive market.
There’s a reason many successful trucking companies look for truck sales in Perth instead of investing in new models. It’s a business strategy to save some capital and still improve your business’s capabilities. This is a basic business concept to grasp: you have to improve your business at the lowest cost possible, without compromising the quality of the service you provide. When you can’t adapt to this aspect properly, that’s poor management already.
Cash flow management is also an important aspect to maintain. Your revenue should always be higher than the operating costs; otherwise, there’s a deadly flaw somewhere in your business model. Make sure that you have a stable clientele and an efficient collection strategy to stabilise your cash flow.
Noncompliance with legal standards
The trucking industry is just like any business, only that with this one you have to weave through different laws. As a business owner, you should know everything about these legal standards and ensure that every personnel and piece of equipment abide by these. Always make sure that you have a safety plan and procedures to train your drivers and follow whatever the laws say. Remember that there’s no such thing as a shortcut in a business. What you may see as an easier way may actually get you in trouble in the long run.
These three mistakes, when committed, can be a very harsh blow to your business. Do your best to avoid these pitfalls and make sure that you have a steady business that provides adequate profits and first-rate services all the time.

The ideal depth of a swimming pool is among the most common questions when hiring a swimming pool builder in Brisbane or anywhere in Queensland. There’s no certain depth, however, but depending on different factors, you might be able to decide what’s best for your pool.
If you have children at home, you should decide whether you would build a separate kiddie pool or a sloped swimming pool. Kiddie pools reduce the risk of drowning, but you might make your little ones feel isolated when everyone goes for a swim. Moreover, if you have to assist them, you won’t enjoy because the pool is too shallow for you.
Sloped swimming pools, on the other hand, offer different depths. One side can be three feet, while the other can be seven feet. The deepest you can go is probably around the height of your tallest family member. You’ll have to be cautious when swimming with children, though.
Define the purpose of your swimming pool. If you need it for therapy and recreation, then feel free to build any depth that you prefer. Make sure that you can walk anywhere around the pool, though. This way, you can use it for play or any exercise routine. For lap pools, you’ll need to build at least four to five feet deep, so you won’t touch the ground when swimming back and forth.
The area where you’re going to build the swimming pool can determine its depth. If you have no idea where exactly to build it, you should hire a swimming pool builder to get an estimate. Different factors, like the type of land and drainage systems, can set a limit to the depth.
The depth of your swimming pool is only one of the things that you should think through before starting the building process. By determining the right depth, the whole family can use it properly according to its purpose.

Employers, especially in industries that demand a lot of physical work, should never underestimate the power of precaution. The safety of employees should be a top priority, not just to prevent manpower issues in case something unforeseen happens, but mainly because it’s a moral responsibility. Tackling the enterprise side of occupational safety, ensuring it means higher productivity and fewer financial losses. Thankfully, government agencies like Safe Work Australia, and private firms, like B&S Printing, take the initiative by promoting occupational safety.
As an employer, here’s what you can do to educate your workers about job safety:
Hold meetings to remind your employees, especially the new ones, about the hazards at work that may endanger their well-being. Meetings can be boring, and some might choose not to attend. Avoid the likelihood of absenteeism by organising a committee that will take charge of making the event more insightful and more interesting. The members of the party should have background knowledge in integrating fun activities with modules.
Reinforce what employees have learned by disseminating materials such as the Take 5 Safety Program brochures. Moreover, post bulletins in high-visibility sections of the office, such as lobbies and pantries. For those working in heavy and construction industries, post these materials in lifts and control rooms.
Encourage employees to undergo safety training. Hire a speaker or trainer who will teach them about the different safety and first aid techniques. Shed light on the most common dilemmas in safety rules. Discuss trends and organise a test to ensure that they understand the modules.
Initiate Safety Drives
Mock drills are one way to promote occupational safety. Moreover, it also serves as an opportunity to assess and look for loopholes of the current safety manual and protocols. Set some metrics to assess the responsiveness of everyone under such circumstances.
Promoting safety in the workplace is often an overlooked aspect, especially in corporate offices. Undertakings concerning this are usually perceived to be drab and uninteresting. Be creative; for example, instead of setting your Take 5 Safety Program literatures in full text, you may put some graphics and photographs to make them interesting.

Keeping your home in tip-top condition should be at the top of your to-do list, particularly now that winter is fast approaching. Be it checking your pipeline for any leakage or applying a fresh coat to your roof, every home improvement detail should be taken into account.
There are some homeowners, though, that compromise the value of their properties because of wrong maintenance practices. If you are looking to improve your property and make sure it is ready for the frigid weather, avoid the following:
Applying a new roof coating before repairing
Before you apply a fresh new coat of painting or protective latex compound to your roof, make sure it is properly maintained. Holes and crevices can destroy the coating and allow moisture and water to leak inside your home. So, for good measure, allow roofing restoration experts from Perth to do the roof preparation procedures and the resin coating.
Letting the water sit in the pipes
The last thing you want to happen during winter is your water pipes bursting. This is the reason many families choose to turn off the tap as soon as the temperatures dip. This can have an opposite effect, though. Water should be moving constantly to avoid pressure built up and freezing rapidly. Turning off the tap allows a small amount of water to sit in your pipes, which is enough to cause bursting. Open your faucets about a quarter of the way to relieve the pressure and allow water to trickle.
Not replacing loose flashings
Never underestimate the effectiveness of flashings; these home improvement essentials can be your lifeline in preventing moisture damages in your home. Be sure to replace loose or missing flashings. If you find that one that looks giving in anytime soon, do not take any chances; have it replaced as well.
While home improvement is the key to maintain your property’s good condition during winter, follow best practices to make the most of its benefits. It is best to contact professionals like expert roof restoration companies in Perth, WA to make sure your home meets industry standards.

US coach Jurgen Klinsman has named football stars Landon Donovan and Clint Dempsey in a 30-man provisional World Cup Squad. The list is a mix of old and upcoming players from different leagues.
The most notable omission from the party is D.C. United forward Eddie Johnson. The player has contributed a lot during the WC qualifying campaign. His recent dip in form is a probable reason to his omission from the squad. Sacha Kljestan and Benny Feilhaber also did not make it into the list.
After a match against Azerbaijan, the USMNT will congregate at Standford University in Palo Alto, California. They will host Turkey at Red Bull Arena in New Jersey for another friendly. The players will meet fellow World Cup participant Nigeria before they depart for Brazil.
The US national team belongs to Group G and will play against footballing giants like Ghana, Germany, and Portugal.
If you live in New York and are going through a custody battle, it’s important to know the laws regarding child custody. New York courts award child custody in many different ways.
Make sure to consult a divorce lawyer in Long Island regarding this to prepare you for the many bumps in the road ahead.
The court may grant a single co-parent sole physical custody of a child; this means responsibility for the day-to-day care of the child. The non-custodial parent, however, will get some visitation rights, provided that the court finds it to be in the best interest of the child. Depending on the situation, the court may also allow joint physical custody, where the child alternates spending time between the two co-parents.
A number of divorce lawyers see joint legal custody as a set-up that is in the child’s best interest in most cases. This type of custody means that both parents share the responsibility when it comes to decision-making for their child. New York courts, however, only impose sole legal custody in extreme situations, such as when a co-parent is unfit to care for the child.
Temporary custody order often ends up as a permanent order when no problems occur during the guardianship. The court usually grants this to one or both co-parents after the filing of the case.
Designated non-custodial parents, have to support a child financially. Child support includes cash payment depending on the needs of your child and your income, medical support, child care, and other health care costs not covered by insurance.
Child Support Enforcement (CSE) Program
Every state in America has a CSE program in place. This program establishes child support enforcement laws, collects and distributes child support payments, and so on. In New York, Child Support Enforcement Units (CSEU) and Support Collection Units provide child support enforcement services.
Child custody can be financially and emotionally exhausting for every parent. Hire a divorce lawyer in Long Island to help you understand this sensitive and intricate process.
