The job that you are working in should be something that fits your personality. This is especially the case if you are a people person. There is always an urge with you to socialize and listen to other people’s stories while also sharing your own. If you want a job that is able to give you time to interact with others, the following jobs may be ideal for you:
Become a hairdresser
A hairdresser serves at least six clients on a good day, which means plenty of time to interact with them. Plus, it is usually a friendly industry to be in. If you want to be a hairdresser, you have to go to a cosmetology school in Utah. This way, you can learn the many ins and outs of the work that you will be getting into.
Attend nursing school
To be a nurse is quite complicated given the complex situations they may be involved in their work. Generally, a nurse needs to be a people person because they have to be caring and outgoing. No patient wants a grumpy person to take care of them, right?
Apply for a teaching position
A teaching job is one of the go-to industries a people person usually applies for. A teacher interacts on a daily basis with students, parents, teachers and other school administrators, which is heaven for a sociable person.
Work as a marketing manager
Not all sociable people have the ability to persuade and communicate with an audience. If you have this skill, you may want to become a marketing manager.
See, you do not have to subsist on a job that does not make you happy and isolates you from other people. As you may know by now, there are a variety of jobs that can help you be yourself and earn money at the same time.

A postgraduate study or degree seems to be a great addition to one’s CV. But are there any tangible benefits from it? Case in point, will it increase your chances of getting hired?
Whether it is a full-time or part-time degree in Singapore or elsewhere, there seems to be some sort of prestige that comes with a postgraduate diploma or certificate. Here is what you should know.
The modern job market is challenging to navigate. There is ample demand for workers and an equally stacked roster of applicants. Competition is fierce and jobseekers need every bit of advantage to set themselves apart. Graduate school finishers are eligible for higher-tier employment because of their skills (and the mastery of said skills). As for higher salaries, postgraduate finishers might not be a lock, but they have a better chance of warranting one.
Many believe that a postgraduate certificate or degree is not just some piece of paper with recommendations on it. All the skills from the undergraduate level are good, but they are far from mastered even in a four or five-year course. A master’s degree builds up on said skills. You can consider postgraduate degree holders as ‘levelled up’ versions of their undergraduate counterparts. They have improved time management skills, self-discipline, and overall maturity.
What Do Employers Think?
Employers are likely to welcome anyone with a postgraduate degree. While it is not automatic, it certainly gives any holder an advantage. Bu they will not stop there. Any employer would want to know what a specific applicant gained from continuing education. Any person can show up with a certificate or a diploma, but fail to back up his or her qualifications. This is not an uncommon occurrence.
In the UK, postgraduate degrees matter most of the time. In fact, the Commission for Employment and Skills states that by 2022, about 1 in 7 jobs (roughly 15 percent) will require a postgraduate degree. Considering that it is only five years down the road, it might be a good time to start going back to school.

People tend to appreciate the importance of having a school uniform, but not many think about why it is important for it to be stylish and attractive, too. Though it might seem frivolous at first, there are some notable advantages to having a dress code that students will actually enjoy following.
Here are some reasons you may want to consider updating the stock in your school uniform shop, and the benefits the school could enjoy in return.
1. Branding – A good uniform works wonders for a school’s image and prestige, since it is instantly recognisable. It also sends a message that the school is modern, clean, and professional. Many campuses stand out from the competition partly because of their uniforms, and it might even play a large part in why some students choose to enrol there.
2. Pride – Students like looking good, and this doesn’t change even when they have to wear a uniform. When students like what they wear, it builds a strong sense of belonging and community. School pride has multiple benefits, and it is important to encourage it whenever possible.
3. Attitude – Experts observe that there is a significant correlation between wearing uniforms and good behaviour in academics, which is more pronounced when the uniform is attractive. Students perform better in their studies, there are fewer rule violations, and they carry themselves like respectable professionals. This is not just good for the school, but for the children’s future as well.
4. Environment – Related to the above, having a more orderly student populace has a direct effect on the kind of environment that the school fosters. Classes are quieter, cleaner, and more productive. Everyone tends to interact like equals, and it removes socioeconomic barriers and peer pressure. In short, people tend to be much more focused on actually learning.
There is no longer a need for drab, boring uniforms in any campus. If students are going to be wearing the same thing day in and day out, schools should at least make sure that it looks good.

The Philippines needs many things to thrive and become more dominant in the international market, and one of those necessities is a sizable population of engineers. Apparently, news reports show that the country is experiencing a shortage of engineers, most especially in the mining sector.
It all boils down to elementary economics: the demand for engineers is extremely high, but the country’s population of graduates and board passers cannot augment it. The situation has reached the point where the government has allowed the entry of foreign workers for hard-to-fill jobs like those in the engineering sector. For this reason, we need more people venturing into engineering to fill these posts and grow the economy.
Some might argue that a massive shift of focus toward engineering might saturate the job market. But, even if that does happen, the international market is there to create more demand. Many countries like the United Kingdom have been experiencing a shortage of engineers, too. These nations open the possibility of providing jobs for the country’s engineers. Add the competitive salary packages awaiting applicants and the engineering sector becomes a truly attractive career path.
So, does that mean we need more people manning construction sites and infrastructure projects? From one perspective, yes, because the country needs better infrastructure to become on par with its neighbors in the region.
But contrary to popular belief, engineering goes beyond the construction industry. As a matter of fact, it encompasses almost every industry. Engineering graduates can land jobs in the banking and finance sector, the transportation industry, and the military just to name a few.
Data from the Mapúa Institute of Technology support this as well. Students have many choices when it comes to course offerings – from biological engineering to mechanical engineering. This diversity in diploma courses does open up many opportunities for young Filipinos to venture into a field that has been receiving such a high demand in the past years.
With more engineers, the country will progress a lot faster. Hopefully, the Philippines can address this shortage of engineers and fast-track its own development using homegrown talent.
In the paper, I Hate Mathematics, children were asked to answer the question: “If math was a food, what would it be and why?” Unsurprisingly, most of the responses were negative. One student compared it to chocolate cake, saying that if you have too much, you’ll get sick. Another kid said the subject is like a rat sack because it makes you haemorrhage from the inside out.
Children’s negative perception of math is overwhelming. R.I.C. Publications echoes the sentiments of Family Education to hep embrace math. It is advisable to present it in an exciting way to avoid anxiety with the subject and help them be inspired.
Here are a few tips to help your kids get excited about math:
Use Math Daily
Encourage children to solve problems regarding math outside school. You can take the kids to a grocery store, for instance, and ask them to estimate the price of two or three boxes of cereals. You can also ask them to figure out how much time you need to get to the destination based on your speed. By incorporating simple mathematical concepts every day, you can improve their skills and confidence in the subject.
Play Math Games
There are different games children can play that involve math. You can teach your kid to play chess. The game has relatively simple rules that can help build analytical and thinking skills. Other examples include dominoes, checkers or backgammon. Buying them Lego is also a good idea, as it can help them conceptualise complex abstractions with small basic parts.
Pay Attention to Their Studies
Help your kids do their math homework by checking their work for correct answers and calculations. Ask kids to find out what they don’t understand about the subject and help them solve it. If they struggle to understand a specific lesson or have difficulty keeping up with homework load, ask the teacher for suggestions.
Be a Good Example
Your attitude about math can influence your child’s attitude about the subject. Always show an interest or positive approach in math. Tell your kids the many ways you use the subject in your daily habits. You can also point out the importance of the subject in different fields such as medicine, engineering, architecture and others.
Learn to introduce math concepts with much enthusiasm and a little pressure. The more you enjoy numbers and calculations, the more your children can be inspired and motivated to learn.
In case you have a family member with disability, it will be a smart and considerate move to modify your home. A handicap-accessible home is important in promoting the safety of your disabled family member. It also helps them become independent.
Converting your home into something that corresponds to the needs of your disabled loved ones requires proper planning. The first thing you need is to spot the areas your family member finds hard to access. Keep reading to learn more about how you can improve these spaces.
The yard should have a level and clear path. Instead of placing plants in big pots along the path, go for climbing plants, so there will be no obstructions for your family member who uses a wheelchair. If there are elevated sections of the yard, especially the paths leading to the patio, build a wheelchair ramp. Make sure the surfaces are smooth to prevent slips and trips.
There should also be a ramp leading to the house’s entry. The doorways should be wide enough to accommodate wheelchairs. When it comes to doors, make sure the thresholds are leveled properly to make the entrance of the wheelchair or cane users easier. Place the door knobs lower than usual, so wheelchair users can access them.
Reputable plumbers, such as PerryPlumbing.com, recommend the installation of certain equipment to prevent accidents and maximize comfort. You may install walk-in tubs and comfort-height toilets. There should be easy-turn faucets, handheld shower heads, and sturdy grab bars.
Using the stairwell can be a frightening experience for persons with disability. If your budget allows it, build a lift or install a stairway lift. Make sure your family member can easily get on and off the seat. There should also be some safety features, such as straps, belts or handles.
A beautiful home is nothing if its design doesn’t correspond to the needs of the dwellers. This truth speaks volumes if you have a disabled family member.

Studies show that imagination plays a vital role in your child’s development. When children play pretend, they develop language skills, positive self-concept and emotional intelligence. It’s important that as a parent, you create a conducive environment that will allow your child’s imagination to run free.
Imagination to facilitate child development
HeguruEducation.com.sg believes that child enrichment can be jumpstarted through imagination. Sharpen the child’s creative thinking as this has lasting benefits to the child’s emotional and social health.
Studies show that imagination builds self-confidence. If you can show the child a mental picture of him as a fearless superhero that fights the bad guys, the child will feel empowered and secure. You’ll be surprised that they are not afraid to take risks and discover their talents.
Imagination also upgrades interpersonal skills. When children play pretend, they are able to be in the shoes of the person they are pretending to be, thus they develop concern for others and improve problem-solving skills. As they play house, they realise how they can pay due respect to parents and relate properly to siblings.
Imagination as a tool for learning
If the child sees a simple pencil as a knight’s sword, it means they are beginning to think symbolically. Symbolic thought is crucial to the learning process of the child because it boosts the cognitive aspect of their development and facilitates intellectual maturity. When enhanced to its full potential, symbolic thought will contribute to linguistic and mathematical skills.
Imagination and role as a parent
You can cultivate your child’s creativity through different ways. Read books that have lots of pictures so that your child will have a wide vocabulary and familiarity with things even at a young age. This will also further stimulate curiosity, a very important element in the learning process.
You can also make up your own stories and make the child the main character. Use pictures and props to make storytelling time interactive and fun. Inspire the child to create their own stories in the process.
Children learn best when they use creativity. Involve them in imaginative activities so that they can realise their utmost potential.
Your car represents your style and personality. This means you have to take care of it the way you take care of yourself. For some people, giving their ride a new look is essential, as well. Accessorising a vehicle could be the best way you can make it become a head turner the next time it hits the road.
With the increasing number of car servicing companies today, modifying your vehicle by adding different accessories is easy. The challenge is coming up with the best look for your ride. According to JTW Autoparts, a wholesale supplier of recycled parts in Australia, there are three ways to master the art of accessorising a vehicle.
Do not let your playful imagination deceive you. While you can do anything you want with your car, you still need to make up your mind and choose a specific look. Do you want to give it a vintage look or a futuristic effect? Maybe you want to incorporate the name and logo of your favourite sports team or just pick random designs you saw on TV or in a magazine. If you are unsure about what you really want, ask car aficionados for suggestions. They might have design samples that will give you an inspiration and will let your creative juices flow.
Look Beyond the Visuals
Sure, manufacturers will produce visually appealing parts and accessories because that’s what the customers are looking for. When buying an item for your car, ask yourself whether it’s ideal or practical. Being attractive doesn’t always mean it’s useful and functional. Go for accessories that fit your lifestyle and serve more than one purpose. Buying quality used or recycled parts is a good option if you have a tight budget. This will help you get the best value for your hard-earned money. This way, you can save a few more for maintenance concerns.
Easy on Upgrades
It’s easy to pick items from the parts list, especially if you have a big budget. Those new leather seats, decals, and other accessories are too tempting. The range of product options makes choosing the right items a bit more difficult. Remember that sometimes, less is more. Take it easy on upgrades and avoid over accessorising your car. Adding a few, but functional features will keep it stylish, clean, and classy.
Shop for the best car accessories from the parts centre near you. Expert mechanics can install those new or recycled components while you wait.
Starbucks has announced its plans to give US workers an opportunity to earn an online college degree, an unusual employee benefit in an industry where higher education is difficult to reach.
The US coffee chain is partnering with Arizona State University to make bachelor’s degree affordable to its employees who work at least 20 hours a week.
The annual fee for online courses at the university can go beyond $10,000.
After they have finished their college degree, the Starbucks staffs have the freedom to choose which company to work for.
‘Best investment Starbucks can make’
The Starbucks College Achievement Plan highlights the dilemma of many employees who earn low salaries and don’t have much job security.
“There’s no doubt, the inequality within the country has created a situation where many Americans are being left behind. The question for all of us is, should we accept that, or should we try and do something about it,” said Howard Schultz, the chairperson and president at Starbucks, in a statement.
“Supporting our partners’ ambitions is the very best investment Starbucks can make. Everyone who works as hard as our partners do should have the opportunity to complete college, while balancing work, school and their personal lives.”
Trucking businesses can be profitable, but only if you have the knowledge and patience to keep one going. With the right strategy, you can work your way to being one of the biggest names in the industry. Starting out may seem simple, but do not lose track of certain aspects of the game so you don’t lose your investment.
Lack of foresight
Trends are there for you to watch. You have to know where the market – and more importantly, your business – is heading. When you have no idea as to which direction you’re taking, the time will come when you might commit a grave mistake and lose some hard-earned profits.
This is where a good business plan matters, as you must have a stable foundation to keep your trucking company sailing smoothly in the middle of a competitive market.
There’s a reason many successful trucking companies look for truck sales in Perth instead of investing in new models. It’s a business strategy to save some capital and still improve your business’s capabilities. This is a basic business concept to grasp: you have to improve your business at the lowest cost possible, without compromising the quality of the service you provide. When you can’t adapt to this aspect properly, that’s poor management already.
Cash flow management is also an important aspect to maintain. Your revenue should always be higher than the operating costs; otherwise, there’s a deadly flaw somewhere in your business model. Make sure that you have a stable clientele and an efficient collection strategy to stabilise your cash flow.
Noncompliance with legal standards
The trucking industry is just like any business, only that with this one you have to weave through different laws. As a business owner, you should know everything about these legal standards and ensure that every personnel and piece of equipment abide by these. Always make sure that you have a safety plan and procedures to train your drivers and follow whatever the laws say. Remember that there’s no such thing as a shortcut in a business. What you may see as an easier way may actually get you in trouble in the long run.
These three mistakes, when committed, can be a very harsh blow to your business. Do your best to avoid these pitfalls and make sure that you have a steady business that provides adequate profits and first-rate services all the time.
